Prior to joining SBD, Casey served as Vice President of Operations for Zoomedia (www.zoomedia.com), a communications and marketing agency focused on the life sciences. At Zoomedia, Casey oversaw the company’s Finance, IT, Human Resources, and Administrative departments. He worked closely with the business development team in securing new business revenue, helped coordinate the production, creative and account management teams in managing and upselling current accounts and completing media and communications projects profitably and on schedule. He also developed fiscal management strategies for budgeting, sales forecasting and profit/loss projections, continuing to achieve income and expense goals and meeting profit projections, resulting in over 35% growth in revenue.

Before Zoomedia, Casey led the management team of Workshare (www.workshare.com), a document security and comparison software company, for three and half years as Vice President of Operations and In- House Counsel. At Workshare, Casey helped lead Workshare’s initial development efforts, resulting in an average annual growth of 27% per year from $11 million to almost $18 million in annual sales revenue. Casey strategized closely with the VP of Business Development in developing and maintaining a domestic and international alliance and channel program of V ARS, OEM arrangements and other partner categories. He worked in tandem with the VP of Sales in successfully negotiating a wide range of licensing agreements, producing over $4 million in annual revenue, closing 7 major deals of over $150K each. Casey also provided ongoing account management, working directly with such corporate accounts as Time Warner/AOL, General Motors, Aventis, Amgen, Morrison & Forester, O’Melveny & Meyers, and Baker & McKenzie.

Casey also acted as Business Development Lead and Legal Affairs Manager for I-Impact, an Israeli data- warehousing and predictive analytics start-up, where he sourced, negotiated and closed managed application service arrangements with customers such as SONY New Technology Holdings and McKinsey Consulting.

In December of 2006, Casey sold his first company, Gytha Mander (www.gythamander.com), a high fashion men’s clothing line, to Revel Industries (www.revelindustries.net). Casey created Gytha Mander with two other partners and led its growth from a basic concept into a successful clothing company resulting in its acquisition.

Casey holds a BA in Rhetoric from the University of California at Berkeley and a JD from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law.  Licenses: State Bar of California; Series 7, 63.
